Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 June 2026

Short version: Birthdays does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your personal data. Everything stays on your device.

Data we collect

None. Birthdays has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking SDKs. We cannot see the birthdays, names, notes, or any other information you enter.

Where your data lives

The birthdays and notes you add are stored locally on your device. If you choose to enable iCloud sync, that data is stored in your own private iCloud account (managed by Apple) so it stays in sync across your devices. We have no access to it.

Calendar access

If you choose to import birthdays, Birthdays requests permission to read your Calendar solely to find birthday events on your device. This happens on-device, only when you ask, and nothing is imported until you confirm. We never upload or transmit your calendar data.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled as local notifications on your device using iOS. No reminder data is sent to any server.

Payments

Birthdays is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We never receive your payment details.

Children's privacy

Birthdays does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
